Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing

More than 85% of today’s Internet traffic is generated by search engines. Think about it for a second. Time’s out. Yeah, that’s right, that’s a shit load of traffic. Also worth considering is that the traffic coming from search engine is the most valuable. How so? We’ll think of it like this, when someone is, per say, typing into the Google engine “the new nokia n95,” it is pretty clear that the respective person is actually interested in finding more info about that particular product - it’s targeted traffic, the kind of traffic that actually reads and analyzes what you’ve put on the website.

Here’s a another thing to think about though; what if someone types in “where to buy a n95″ ? It’s clear then that the user is not only interested in the product, but also willing to purchase it. Now imagine if you get ranked high for such a position - what will happen is you’ll get a lead!

This is how countless e-commerce stores or affiliate marketing gurus have been able to make millions on the internet, by getting highly ranked (first page) for various, more or less, valuable keywords. They saw the potential and then worked hard for their high ranks. This is called Search Engine Optimization.

How We Can Help

We come up with the necessary expertise, such that you rank high for your desired keywords of choice (we can provide valid suggestion for you, if you’re not sure) and your site is perfectly optimized for search engines like Google, MSN and Yahoo.

We like to do it methodically and productively, for maximum ROI. We’re not here to make false promises - we’ll leave it to the self proclaimed, so called experts. We won’t go around telling you we can deliver you #1 for any keyword or that you’re sales will increase by 200% in 1 months. This is a very volatile industry, search algorithms change every day and it’s only silly to make these kind of assumptions. Realism and sincerity is important in any relationship, especially from a client’s perspective.

We can’t make promises, but we can do is the next best thing: deliver results. It’s also important to have patience. Over night success usually takes ten years, as the oh so famous quote goes. An effective campaign usually lasts between 6-12 months, because there are a lot of factors to take in consideration (you’re website’s age, incoming links, reputation, on-site optimization, the content, keyword density and so on…).

And that’s not all, either. You’ve got a good rank, on a particular keyword on Google, but then what? This is where Search Engine Marketing comes in. Using analytics software, we will try to map your users demographic and understand their needs. We will help you arrange your content and design, such that it’s at appealing as possible and the search engine users spends as much time as possible on-site, on why not money, too.

Here’s a brief overview of our SEO and SEM process:

  • The Market. We need to first pinpoint your targeted demographic, what your potential costumers want and search habits. Then we need to analyze the competition, what keywords they targeting and how we can get passed them.
  • Research + Analysis = healthy, steady ranking. A lot of SEOs make the mistake of jumping head first with the optimization and link building, without first making a thorough analysis of the website (if it already exists, of course), so that one may spot the keywords the website is already ranking on and various factors.
  • On-page optimization. We then move towards the actual website and optimize where needed. This means cleaning up the messy code, adding sitemaps, watching over your copy (checking keyword density and formatting aspects), giving guidance design-wise (the search crawler needs to easily navigate through your website. Graphics and flash animations are a common mistake), image optimization (keeping things as light as possible), title tags modifications, permalinks structure and much, much more.
  • Content. We mentioned above that on-site optimization is very important for SEO. Now, content is the most important aspect, that’s why we’ve mentioned it separately. We can’t highly stress how important it is for your content to be relevant and original for successful SEO. We’ll make sure to train and help you in making your content clean, of high quality, up to date and highly linkable.
  • Off-page optimization. This is commonly known in the SEO business as link building. We’ll proceed with campaigns that will bring in links to your website, both conventionally and “new school.” This means we still believe in the value of (some) directories or forums, but when it’s so easy to create at the same time buzz and links, it’d be a pity not to use the various social media resources at our disposal. After all, we’re a social media consulting and optimization agency, at heart.
  • Final analysis and tweaking. After a period of a few months we analyze your rankings and various other data, like link popularity, Page Rank, number of incoming liks, etc. We then take this data and take the necessary steps to further optimize the page and ensure you get a maximum ROI.
  • We Wait. Yup. That simple, we just wait for the results to kick in, as we take a sip of Bacardi ‘n cola.

Pretty simple, right? Trust us, it’s a bit harder than it looks…

Ethical SEO

Something you need to keep in mind is that ZME Media only does ethical work, be it SEO, SMO or any other form of service. This doesn’t mean the people who perform it are necessarily ethical (although we like to think so, but who cares about someone’s moral values in the first place), but the techniques used to come to a result are.

We do NOT use spam, cloaking, refreshing scripts, bots, link farms and any other black hat techniques some of the pseudo-SEOs do. We care for our client’s image as much as we care about ours and we promise to use only ethical techniques.

Now What?

Hope we haven’t bored you too much, but you’ve read up to here, might as well drop as a line or a call.
